New year, new leadership!

Please welcome Andre Rayner, who will succeed me as overall President of Canway Youth starting this month. Andre has been a student at Gunn High School in Palo Alto, and has recently started in the Middle College program at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. Andre's exciting vision for the organization includes expanding Canway Youth's mission from positive youth psychological development to include a focus on another epidemic affecting young people - allergies and food intolerances of various types - and I'm thrilled to anticipate future Canway Youth contributions in this area.

Part of the reason why Andre is focused on the rising number of young people affected by allergy problems is his personal history, which I'm sure he'll be best placed to share or not.

As I let go of the reins, a big thank you to local leaders at Gunn High School (Julia Ng and Avery Yun), and to generous donors who helped fund our support of worthy causes like Club USA's support of at-risk youth.
